John Merricks II is a high performance TP52 design racing yacht, owned by the John Merricks Sailing Trust (JMST) and run by the British Keelboat Academy (BKA). The boat provides a unique opportunity for young talented sailors to develop the skills needed to take their keelboat racing to a professional level.
In 2009, the boat won the RORC season’s point series for Class Super Zero, including finishing 11th overall out of 300 entries in the Rolex Fastnet Race. In 2008 the boat was 2nd in the same class in the season’s points, including overall victory in the De Guingand Bowl, as well as competitive performances at inshore events including the IRC Nationals and Cowes Week.
